Compound Radius extends its creative philosophy beyond performance and recorded music through Compound Radius Music CIC, using music led wellbeing, movement and collaborative arts we create spaces for connection, participation and personal development. Our community work brings professional artists, emerging performers, children, cross generational performers and local communities together through inclusive experiences including live music, open jams, creative workshops, wellbeing initiatives, cultural exchange, and participatory performances

 

Our mission: To use music, creativity, performing arts and cultural exchange to promote wellbeing, inclusion, participation and meaningful human connection. Rooted in multilingual and multicultural expression, we create accessible artistic experiences that encourage confidence, self-expression and emotional wellbeing, while bringing together people across generations, cultures and backgrounds.

Our Approach: Through live performances, open mic platforms, workshops, collaborative projects, and community-led events, we aim to create safe, inclusive, and inspiring spaces where local families, young people, artists, educators, and communities can engage creatively, celebrate cultural diversity together.

 

Rather than separating art from community, we see them as part of the same expanding circle creativity can entertain, inspire, connect people and positively influence how communities experience one another.

 

Compound Radius CIC exists to use music, dance, and other forms of art and cultural engagement to promote wellbeing, social inclusion and cultural integration in Hounslow and surrounding communities.

 

We believe creativity should be accessible — not confined by age, background, ability or experience.

Music is where we started. Community is why the radius keeps expanding.

• Harmony in Motion - A multidisciplinary programme combining music, dance, creative participation and wellbeing-focused activities

• Community Open Mic & Jam Sessions - Inclusive platforms encouraging musicians, poets, stand up comedians, magicians, storytellers anyone who wants to present a passion. seasoned or first-time performers from the local community to share a stage and collaborate

• Children & Emerging Talent Showcases - Creating supportive performance opportunities for young children and developing artists.

• Cross-Cultural Music Experiences - Bringing different musical traditions, communities and artistic disciplines together through collaboration and live performance

• Through Compound Radius Music CIC, we are open to collaborations with arts organisations, councils, schools, community groups, cultural organisations, venues and wellbeing initiatives.

Harmony in Motion is our grassroots arts and wellbeing initiative, born in Hounslow.

It brings together live music, movement, mindfulness, cultural expression, storytelling and participatory arts — creating experiences where people don't simply watch.

Wellbeing Through Music & Dance | International Women's Day
Movement meets sound.
Kaushikii meditative dance, movement, live cosmic soundscapes, kirtan and wellbeing mantras brought adults, children and SEND participants into a shared creative experience.

Cosmic Jam Open Mic | Basant Panchami & Tagore Tribute
One stage. Generations of voices.
A multilingual, multicultural open mic bringing together performers aged 4–60 — Bengali folk, dance, Hindi music, English originals, young performers and people stepping onto a stage for the first time.

Laughter, Music & Healing | The Arts Centre Hounslow
Joy becomes connection.
Laughter yoga, guided meditation, comedy exploring immigrant experiences, cultural storytelling and original music came together in an alternative space for connection and wellbeing.

Connecting the Dots — Music × Mental Health | The Arts Centre Hounslow
Where conversation met performance.
A trauma-informed psychotherapist joined musicians and dancers to explore music and mental wellbeing alongside Prabhat Sangeet, Mohan Veena, Hindustani classical music, tabla and classical dance — culminating in a rehearsed live collaboration where Eastern classical traditions met contemporary Western sound.

And that was only the beginning.

OPEN MIC. OPEN SPACE.

Not everyone needs a concert hall.

Sometimes people simply need a mic, a welcoming room and someone willing to listen.

Our community open mics create accessible platforms for emerging artists, bedroom musicians, young creatives, first-time performers and experienced musicians to meet, experiment and be heard.

Ballucci Open Mic, Hounslow — launched in 2025 as a regular grassroots platform for local artists, original music and live collaboration.

Hounslow Wellbeing Network × Compound Radius — in 2026, the radius expanded into an established community wellbeing network. Compound Radius now brings free community open-mic sessions into the Network's programme at *The Arts Centre Hounslow, alongside activities designed to help residents connect and build positive relationships. The Network's August programme features *Open Mic by Compound Radius as part of its community activities.

DC Fest 2026 — taking music closer to home, using live performance and participation to bring neighbours and families together through a shared community celebration.

OUR PURPOSE

Our purpose is to make creativity accessible, participatory and rooted in community — opening spaces where people of different ages, cultures, backgrounds and abilities can experience the arts, express themselves and connect with others.

Our work grows around three core ambitions:

WELLBEING — exploring music, movement, meditation and creative expression as accessible ways to support positive wellbeing.

SOCIAL INCLUSION — creating welcoming spaces that bring people together, encourage participation and give emerging and underrepresented voices room to be heard.

CULTURAL INTEGRATION — bringing cultures and artistic traditions together, celebrating diversity and creating shared experiences where communities can discover, participate and create alongside one another.

From Harmony in Motion and community open mics to partnerships, neighbourhood events and volunteering, these aren't separate strands of work.

They are different expressions of the same purpose.

Using creativity to widen connection, participation and belonging — one expanding radius at a time.
